Rent Bank

The Rent Bank provides financial assistance in the form of a repayable no-interest loan to renters who are on brink of losing their home. These loans can help cover essential costs like rent, damage deposit or utility bills, giving individuals and families the breathing room they need to get back on their feet.

About the Rent Bank Program

The BC Rent Bank program is a provincial homelessness prevention project supporting a network of Rent Banks across BC.  Kamloops EFry operates the Rent Bank for Kamloops and the Thompson Nicola Regional District (TNRD).

The Rent Bank Program offers financial support to low- and moderate-income renters who are facing unexpected emergencies that make it difficult to pay rent, damage deposit, or essential utilities. The goal is to help individuals and families maintain stable housing during times of crisis. The Rent bank provides interest-free loans to individuals and families, as well as information and supports to other agencies that may be able to help people in stabilizing their housing situation and future.

The Kamloops Elizabeth Fry Rent Bank also provides financial literacy courses and support to help you manage your budget and avoid future financial challenges. To learn more, please contact us to book a free phone consultation.

Kamloops & District Elizabeth Fry Society provides Rent Bank services to all TNRD residents.
